For complete home safety, the number of AirGuard detectors you need depends on the size of your apartment and the number of bedrooms:

1-bedroom apartment: 2 detectors — one near or inside the bedroom and one in the living room or kitchen.

2-bedroom apartment: 3 detectors — one in or near each bedroom and one in the living room or kitchen.

3-bedroom apartment: 4 detectors — one in or near each bedroom and one in the living room or kitchen.

      • Must have at home, is you have a gas kitchen or water heater, very helpful tool to prevent gas leak.

      • This was easy to set up and use. Unfortunately I forgot it in the Airbnb we stayed at, but I will buy another for our home. It feels good to have peace of mind. The display is large and easy to see. Bright screen and you just plug in and go, so it’s easy to set up.

      • They seem to work well although I have one that seems overly sensitive, it likes to go off for gas when I don't believe we have that problem. The only gas appliance we have in our house is the furnace. I have swapped the two (one upstairs and one downstairs) and the problem seems to follow the device.

      • Easy to use, just plug it in. It picked up on rubbing alcohol that was being used across the room to briefly clean something, so it seems pretty sensitive. It's loud, but not too loud. I feel confident it could detect gas as well which is why I bought it.
